10th June 1921 - 9th April 2021
It is with immense sadness that we mark the passing of the Duke of Edinburgh.
On behalf of the parishioners of Kirkbampton Parish, I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal Family.
Our thoughts are with them at this very difficult time.
The Duke of Edinburgh will be remembered for his many valuable contributions to our wider community, especially the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, which has changed the lives of many of our young people and his extensive list of patronages that lent strength and credibility to many Cumbrian community organisations.
S Ekins-Parnell, Chair, Kirkbampton Parish Council
