Kirkbampton and District News
The village and parish of Kirkbampton lies on the Solway Plain approximately 6 miles
West of the border city of Carlisle with it's historical cathedral and castle. It
encompasses the villages/hamlets of Kirkbampton, Little Bampton, Oughterby, Studholme,
Flatt and Ploughlands.
This web site is for the benefit of both residents and visitors, who seek to enjoy
the advantages of being part of our community. We hope it will also be informative
and interesting to existing and new residents and visitors and enable them to take
full advantage of what the area has to offer.
Kirkbampton Parish Council has reviewed its grant giving procedure. Organisations
who wish to apply for financial support are required to complete and submit applications
via a completed application form (including relevant copy estimates, etc) by the
30th April 2015. The Parish Council will then consider all submitted applications

Kirkbampton Village Hall have a vacancy for a trustee.
We welcome applicants from anyone from the Benefice of Burgh
inc the villages of Burgh-by-Sands, Moorhouse, Monkhill, Kirkandrews,
Boustead Hill, Grinsdale, Kirkbampton, Thurstonfield, Great Orton,
Aikton, Oughterby, Little Bampton and Longburgh.
Kirkbampton & District Village Hall is a registered charity. Our new
hall opened in October 2001 and proves to be wonderful asset to our
community. Hall reserves are strong and we have an active committee.

HEALTHY EATING CLUB
We maybe able to get funding for a healthy eating programme. If you are over weight
and would be interested in joining a new group in the village hall please let me
know. This will not just be an ordinary slimming club we intend to cook and try out
