Details of High Speed Broadband Rollout in Cumbria

Kirkbampton and District News

The village and parish of Kirkbampton lies on the Solway Plain approximately 6 miles West of the border city of Carlisle with it's historical cathedral and castle. It encompasses the villages/hamlets of Kirkbampton, Little Bampton, Oughterby, Studholme, Flatt and Ploughlands.


This web site is for the benefit of both residents and visitors, who seek to enjoy the advantages of being part of our community. We hope it will also be informative and interesting to existing and new residents and visitors and enable them to take full advantage of what the area has to offer.

Police Surgery

Kirkbampton School is to hold a Police Surgery at the School for the village on Friday 23rd May from 3:30pm until 4:30pm

Thurstonfield Methodist Chapel

 Coffee Morning with Fairtrade stall and Cake stall.

Saturday 17th May 10am-12 noon

Proceeds for Chapel funds and to support flood victims in the south of England.

Everyone welcome

Watchtree Wildlife Photography Exhibition featuring some of Cumbria's best wildlife photographers on Easter Monday 21st & Tuesday 22nd. (Many images for sale)

Admission is Free and there is a free tipple and chocolate!

Heavenly Quilts and Crafts

Saturday 10th May 10 till 4pm

Display of Quilts and Crafts in Church

Crafts at the Village Hall

Refreshments all day

Local Artists,

Quilt Supplies,

Courtyards Crafts, Crafting for fun, Local Pottery and more in aid of Church Funds
